America in Space Film // A Symphonic Celebration

The Deer Valley Music Festival is well-known for its consistent line-up of highly talented and noticeably popular artists and cinematic presentations. Each performance is noted for its high quality concerts, which just so happens to be held high in the Wasatch Mountains. The sun shines long enough this time of year, that people are encouraged to bring food for a picnic dinner to enjoy in a beautiful mountainous setting. The Utah Symphony and Utah Opera have partnered with the Deer Valley Music Festival to offer concerts and film showings for locals and visitors wanting to enjoy the Park City area and provide exhilarating get-away outdoor concerts. The partnership between the two organizations adds to the already existing cultural experiences and outdoor adventures in Park City. 

Concerts are held in Snow Park Amphitheater at the base of the ski lifts at Deer Valley Resort. Four other chamber concerts are held in the St. Mary’s Church. Sitting under the stars and between the Wasatch Mountains during concerts have proven throughout time to appeal to people as attendance has exceeded 40,000.

America in Space: A Symphonic Space Celebration is a highly anticipated film to be played and musically accompanied by the Utah Symphony. The combination of space and music will be an unforgettable experience as it is unique to watch such an impactful film with live music. The film celebrates the 50th anniversary of NASA’s moon landing. During the film, astronauts are honored and interviewed as astronomers and other space explores are recognized for the lasting impact they made. Musical highlights include pieces from Holst’s The Planets, Sprach Zarathustra as well as music from many other films covering the topic of space. 

The Deer Valley Music Festival is located at Snow Park Outdoor Amphitheater - 2250 Deer Valley Dr S #501, Park City, UT 84060, USA. You can see it on a map here. Gates open at 5:30 PM and the concert begins at 7:30 PM. The concert will be held Friday, July 26, so the date is approaching!
