ARToberFest Celebrates the Fall Season
Just a few short weeks ago, the air was warm and the streets in the wide avenue were vibrant with summer green. When the leaves turn red and the light becomes watery and pale, we tuck our summer clothes away into our closet and drag out the thick sweaters and jeans that are ever so common in the fall season. This Fall, the Kimball Art Center once again looks to celebrate the new season with ARToberFest.
On October 12 from 1-5pm at the Kimball Art Center, there will be a variety of free activities that will be apart of ARToberFest. From ceramics demos, collaborative sculpture, leaf art, sidewalk chalk, scheduled tours of the exhibition “Jim Jacobs: The Imperfections that Render Us Visible”, and live music by Ecker Hill String Band. There will be no shortage of things to do with the entire family. However, there are also paid activities. For $2, there will be pumpkin painting, fall sun catchers, and various prize games for everyone to enjoy.
All these activities are presented to celebrate the arrival of the fall season. For more information about the event visit Kimballartcenter.com. There is sure to be tons of fun and many crafts to be made with the entire family at ARToberFest.
