Celebrate the Season with Park City’s Electric Parade
The final days of autumn are upon us, and that means the holiday season is right on its heels. What better way to kick it off than to gather friends and family for Park City’s annual Electric Parade? Produced by the Historic Park City Alliance, the Electric Parade is a free community event that celebrates Small Business Saturday and starts the holiday season in grand style. The parade is scheduled for Saturday, November 25.
But you don’t have to be satisfied with just being a spectator for the Electric Parade! Everyone is welcome to register and be an integral part of the event. You don’t need to belong to an organization or group. In fact, you don’t even need to have a car! Light up your bike or car and be a part of the parade. Participation is free, however everyone needs to register by Monday, November 20!
Cash prizes are awarded in four categories, so be creative and vie for one of the following:
“Mayor’s Award”/Best of Show: $300
“Power to Make it Happen”/Best Use of Lights: $150
“Entrepreneurs Unite”/Small Business Award: $150
“Holiday Time in the Mountains”/Best Christmas Spirit: $150
The evening of activities begins at 4pm with Santa strolling Main Street. Starting at 5pm, you’ll find holiday carolers singing along Main Street, followed by the lighting of the Christmas tree in Miner’s Park at 5:30. The parade starts at 5:45pm.
What a great way to celebrate Small Business Saturday and the start of the holiday season! To register, fill out the entry form here. More details can be found at the Historic Park City Alliance website.
