COVID-19 Resources for the Creative Community

Covid Resources for the Creative Community.png

From its beginning in 1986, The Arts Council’s vision has included the support and promotion of local artists and creatives. In light of the unique and devastating impact of COVID-19 on our creative community, we have updated our Resource Page at https://www.pcscarts.org/covid-19 to reflect not only active COVID relief grants for individual artists and arts organizations, but also an archive of previously-offered COVID resources and grants which have been postponed due to the virus. The page will be a living document kept current by Arts Council interns; the public is also encouraged to offer their findings, which can be added to the document.

As the conditions for artists and arts organizations under COVID grow ever more challenging, The Arts Council has strived to further define our leadership role in Summit County Arts and Culture; we have sought new ways to support and develop tools that benefit all creatives in our community, from offering online arts classes during lockdown to moving many of our annual events to virtual formats, and we have set goals to aggregate Arts and Culture resources into accessible online platforms where their impact and reach can be maximized without increasing the risk to our community members.

If you find yourself in the position of applying for an artist or COVID-relief grant, please keep in kind that the windows of application are typically open for a week or shorter, and that if the portal receives an overwhelming number of applications, the window may close early. So, it is best to apply as soon as the application window opens; many of these grants are first-come, first-served! The Arts Council hopes you find our Resource Page to be of use, and wishes you all the resilience this season has to offer.
