English & Hareza // Local Musicians On The Road Again
Local singer/songwriter/musician, Elizabeth Hareza, is taking her music on the road again. As a duo project in 2017, English & Hareza did a two month tour of Europe, performing nearly every day in cities across The Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, France, Austria, Scotland and England. Aaron English, a singer songwriter from Seattle, WA, had already planned the tour and invited Elizabeth to join in.
"Aaron has been touring and composing music for decades," explained Elizabeth. "In 2015, he founded The International Youth Music Project, a 501(c)(3) that provides music opportunities for disadvantaged youth around the world. Aaron and I connected at the FAR-West Music Conference held in Bellevue, WA in October 2016. We were instant fans of each other's music and have spent nearly every day together since.” English moved to Park City in March of 2017. They packed all of their belongings into a storage unit and have been back and forth between touring and staying with friends when home in Park City.
They are both independent songwriters, working on solo projects and projects with other artists around the world. Their focus this year has been on developing their duo, English & Hareza. They will spend the Spring of 2018 writing new music and preparing to record their first album together and heading east to tour for at least a month. "So far, we have performances confirmed in Pittsburgh, PA, Philadelphia, PA, Washington, DC, Charlotte, NC, Kansas City, KS and St. Louis, MO. We'll also make a stop in Nashville for a few days of writing and connecting with the songwriting community. We are deep in the booking process of this tour and are working to schedule 5-10 more shows before we head out. "
When she is home in Park City, Elizabeth runs meet-ups for area songwriters. She notes that “It's always a joy to connect with other songwriter support groups around the world. We have met many talented artists and made wonderful connections through this group in Amsterdam and others like it.” The songwriter group is open to listeners and performers. It’s meant to be a safe space for people to engage, connect with other songwriters, musicians, and music lovers in Utah.
