Get ready to give! Live PC Give PC is this Friday November 6th!

Live Give has been a fundraising staple for local nonprofits in the Park City and Summit County communities for 10 years. And on its 10th anniversary, Live Give is going virtual. Don’t miss this opportunity to give back on November 6th, 2020.

Here’s how it's going to work:

The Park City Community Foundation organizes and makes Live Give PC happen every year. This event brings non-profits, donors, volunteers, and local businesses together for a day of generous giving.

  1. Donate on November 6th anytime (from 12:01am-11:59pm) by choosing from over 130 nonprofit fundraisers at livepcgivepc.org. Donate to as many causes as you choose with a $5 minimum donation, and a $10 donation boost for new donors. Help Live Give reach a goal of 5,500 unique donors in 24 hours.

  2. You can also find nonprofits and volunteers on the streets around town, and at local businesses, collecting donations from 7am-6pm on November 6th. “Honk and wave as you drive by them to show your support”

  3. New in 2020: A Social Distanced Community Parade from 3-5pm on November 6th. Cheer and wave from your curb as the parade moves through downtown, Pinebrook, Jeremy Ranch, Trailside, and Old Ranch Road. Find a parade map here: https://www.livepcgivepc.org/giving-events/pc20/happenings

  4. Early giving is already open at livepcgivepc.org. Christine Coleman, Communication and Marketing Director for the Park City Community Foundation says, “People can give all year at livepcgivepc.org. Ideally they maximize their gifts by giving on Nov. 6 because many nonprofits will have matching donations, but they can continue to give all year.”

This year’s event is especially important to help local nonprofits with Covid19 stabilization and recovery.

Live Give is doing everything to prepare for a safe event. Masks are required throughout the entirety of the event, even when outside. They are also implementing social distancing requirements and group size limits, and asking that attendees stay within their own neighborhoods for the concert and parade. For those who would prefer to attend virtually, the Live PC Give PC Livestream at livepcgivepc.org will be up and running from 5-8pm. Christine writes, “Luckily this is primarily an online event. We are not able to do our big celebration party at High West Distillery this year, but we are adding a Community Parade, a Livestream, and small socially-distanced gatherings with music from Mountain Town Music.”

In 2019, Live PC Give PC raised over $2.4 million — let’s beat this number in 2020! Most importantly, a day of giving and generosity helps to amplify voices of small community nonprofits and charities, and give them an opportunity to online fundraise to a large audience. November 6th is sure to provide all who participate with a sense of community, togetherness, and civic pride. Get excited!
