Kamas Valley History Mobile Museum Grand Opening
You may remember reading our blog post a few weeks ago about the new Kamas Valley History Mobile Museum. If you missed it, no worries. You can check it out here. Long story short, the article covered exciting news about the Kamas Valley History Group's new undertaking led by Kate Wynn. The group purchased, renovated, and converted a vintage trailer into a museum on wheels!
Fast forward a few months, and we are thrilled to announce the official opening of the mobile museum. The Kamas History Museum Grand Opening Event will take place on Memorial Day, Monday, May 31st from 2-8pm at the Kamas City Hall grounds and along Main Street.
Following a ribbon cutting ceremony at 2pm, guests can expect crafts and activities on Main Street from 2-4pm, relays and games sponsored by the Lion's Club from 4-5pm, and a celebratory picnic where you can order local takeout and hear performances from musicians and artists. The picnic and performances from 5-8pm will wrap up with an Open Mic night!
You can find more information and details on the Facebook event, where nearly 50 people have already expressed interest. You won't want to miss this safe, outdoor holiday event and community gathering!
