Park City Artists at the Red Butte Garden Exhibition
The Park City Professional Artists Association (PCPAA) will exhibit at Red Butte Gardens Visitor Center May 31 through June 23. Twenty-four artists from the organization will display themes of local mountains, birds, flora and fauna in the exhibit. Jeanne Hansen, PCPAA Spokesperson is excited to display the artwork at Red Butte Gardens. “Come out and support our local artists, and enjoy a colorful variety of work and techniques,” said Hansen.
Hansen encourages patrons to meet some of the artists during a reception on June 8th from 2:00 to 6:00 pm. The complimentary reception offers refreshments, along with upbeat piano and violin music.
Exhibits mediums at the show are oils, photography, acrylics, watercolor and jewelry. A display highlight includes Richard D. Pick’s creative nature photography, focusing on birds and the outdoors. “These works take the viewer to places they may never have the opportunity to experience. They are meant to be studied and explored, just as we might do if really there,” said Pick.
Viewers can purchase art from the exhibit starting at $5, for a print on a card, up to $1200 for original artworks. A portion of sales will benefit Red Butte Gardens. For more information visit PCPAA at http://parkcityart.com/. Tickets are $14 for adults and $7 for children.
The Park City Professional Artists’ Association (PCPAA) promotes local art and artist networking. The association creates a visual voice for our modern society and culture, as individually, and experience the joyful creative process. This joyful attitude motivated six local artists to found the PCPAA in 1981.
