Park City Follies: A Yearly Tradition

April arrives, the weather gets cantankerous, ski resorts close, and Parkites long for summer to appear. What better way to bridge the gap than to head to the theatre? For over 15 years, the Park City community has looked forward to the end of April when The Park City Follies take the stage at The Egyptian Theatre. The Follies features an all-local cast that spoofs and lampoons all things Park City. From politics to transportation to community developments, no topic is considered taboo.

If you’re a local, it’s an opportunity to remember the big issues from the year, laughing and cringing alongside your neighbors. If you’re a visitor, The Follies offer a special window into Park City and its local culture.

The Park City Follies are sure to entertain, but this season should prove to be particularly epic. This year marks the 35th anniversary of The Egyptian Theatre and The Follies are part of a special week of celebration to honor this milestone. Hosted by Tom Clyde, this year’s event will take a retrospective look at past years. Relive some favorite moments from the past 15 years of The Park City Follies.

Tickets get scooped up fast, but it’s worth a call to the box office (435.649.9371) to see if you can join the fun. Shows are April 20-30. Get all the details on The Egyptian Theatre website and secure your seat today.
