The Park City Summit County Arts Council will hold its third Project ABC Community Convening on Friday, June 7th from 9am - noon at the Alf Engen Ski Museum at Utah Olympic Park - 3419 Olympic Parkway. The idea of ‘Community Conveings’ emerged from the cultural planning process as a Strategic Recommendation. Join us as we speak to Robb Woulfe, President + CEO of the Breckenridge Creative Arts.

Each of our Community Convenings focus on specific Collective Priorities that were identified in the Cultural Plan, and are opportunities to learn from others and to discuss the role of arts and culture in Summit County as well as network with the arts and culture community. For our third Community Convening we will be focusing on the PLACES, PROGRAMMING and GOVERNANCE collective priorities from the ABC Cultural Plan.

If you need a refresher -- Project ABC: art, beauty, culture is a community wide cultural planning initiative that grew out of a desire to more effectively connect the arts and culture community and plan for the future. The Project ABC cultural plan lays out a roadmap for the future of Arts and Culture countywide. The Cultural Plan, which is available at projectabcsc.com, was completed in the spring of 2018 and is currently in the Implementation Oversight phase. These Community Convenings are one of the many ways the Arts Council is working to implement the plan.

For this upcoming Community Convening, we are so excited to speak with Robb Woulfe. "The Arts Council is thrilled to have Robb Woulfe from Breckenridge Creative Arts visit Summit County for our third Project ABC Community Convening,” states Jocelyn Scudder, Managing Director of PCSC Arts Council, “Breckenridge and Park City have many similarities -- they have rich mining histories, and both communities were revitalized through the ski industry resulting in tourism-centric economies. For years I've been impressed with BreckCreate and their thriving arts and culture district. We're excited to learn about BRECKCreate's successes and lessons through Robb, and I'm sure his presentation will resonate with many Summit County residents -- especially with Park City's arts and culture district on the horizon."

Since 2014,  Robb Woulfe has served as founding president and CEO of Breckenridge Creative Arts (BCA), where he provides vision, leadership, curatorial oversight and management expertise in the areas of program development, financial planning, fundraising, operations, marketing and public relations. In addition to serving as chief spokesperson for BCA, Robb works with local artists, creative businesses and cultural organizations to develop opportunities for mutually beneficial partnerships within the themes of collaboration, capacity-building and creative tourism.

After Robb presents, we will have a conversation about how the ideas presented are relevant to Summit County. We are so excited to have this impressive arts and culture leader join us for our Community Convening! All of our Community Convenings are free and open to the public. Anyone who shares an interest for arts and culture in Summit County is welcome to join us. Light breakfast and coffee will be served.
