Visit CreatePC at its NEW location, 825 Main St.
CreatePC, the Arts Council’s retail gallery recently moved down the street to 825 lower Main St. between Main St. Gallery and Flying Sumo! Come visit and shop local art, Wednesday through Sunday 12pm to 6pm at the new location.
About a month ago, the Arts Council discovered they would have to move out of their location at 660 Main St., unsure of where to go, Mike Sweeney approached the Arts Council with the opportunity to temporarily activate an available space just down the street. Wishing to continue to honor the Park City’s Main Street Vibrancy Ordinance and keep energizing Main Street, as well as provide an outlet for local artists and makers to sell their merchandise, the Arts Council and participating artists packed up and moved to their new location on July 31st.
Although the new space is smaller and the working studio aspect is gone, there are still more than 25 artists and brands featured in the space. The move provided the opportunity to switch things up as well. There are some new artists that have joined, such as Morgan Mullins of Waves of Stone Pottery, photographer Ginny Coombs, and painters Robert Johnson, Lisa Nevot and Brenda Moss. You can also find the Arts Council’s Tasty Threads Merch in the shop, which supports local artists and restaurants. However, the goal remains the same, to highlight Summit County artists and creative makers that are not currently represented on Main Street nor in many brick and mortar locations.
CreatePC will continue to have an outdoor market on Main St during car-free Sundays where participating artists can be found making and selling art outside on the street! Be on the lookout for additional programming and activation events in the coming months.
