Support Local Artists // Purchase Art at CreatePC Online
CreatePC, the Arts Council’s pop-up gallery and studio space at 660 Main Street, only recently opened its doors in September 2019. This space served not only as a retail gallery and studio space for 13 local artists, but also as an artist collective that enabled artists opportunities to make work and sell work in the same space.
When the gallery was forced to close in mid-March due to the impacts of COVID-19, the Arts Council took this roadblock as an opportunity to pivot and transition the retail gallery into an online platform.
In order to continue to support local artists, showcase their art and maintain a virtual relationship between the viewer and the artist, createpc.org was developed.
Right now, 11 of the 13 artists who had spaces in CreatePC have transitioned to the online platform, with more to join soon. Browse a variety of mediums including paint, encaustic, mixed media, photography and more, on the online art shop. When you purchase online, and you can choose to pick-up the art curbside if you’re local, or have it delivered.
