Chalk Your Walk Summit County
We’ve all been spending a lot of time at home and find daily, solitary walks to be a physical and mental outlet for us. In order to brighten people’s day during their walks, the Arts Council partnered with Park City and Summit County to promote Chalk You Walk, a community public art project that encourages people to write messages of hope and joy on sidewalks in their neighborhood for others to enjoy as they pass by.
Heres more info on the project and how to participate:
Who: The Park City and Summit County community
What: Chalk Your Walk - A community public art project
Where: Your neighborhood pathways and walkways
When: Through the end of May
Why: Let’s bring a little color and positivity to our sidewalks by drawing or writing encouraging messages of strength, calm and togetherness that others will see on a walk or drive.
How: Create your own pieces of public art using chalk, and post your photos using the hashtag #chalkyourwalksummitcounty and tag -- @pcscarts, @summitcountyut and @parkcitygovt or send them to us via email admin@pcscarts.org and they will share! Be sure to use ‘regular chalk’ only. No paint chalk.
We can’t wait to see your positive messages and drawings!
