Call for Submissions // Summit County Fair Fine Art Exhibit

The annual Summit County Fair  is scheduled for August 5-12, 2023. This traditional county fair features food, contests, rides, demonstrations and of course the demolition derby! Additionally, the fair also hosts the Fine Arts Exhibit at the Ledges Event Center which gives local artists an opportunity to share their creative work with the public.

Submission categories include oil/acrylic painting, watercolor, graphic arts, sculpture, pottery, glass and metal. Artists and creative people of all ages are encouraged to submit artwork—whether novice or professional. Youth (grades 9-12) and adults are eligible for awards and prizes that offer ribbons and cash premium prizes and the Summit County Council will be selecting one adult and one youth piece to purchase for the County’s permanent public art collection.

Summit County residents can drop off artwork at the Summit County Library in Kimball Junction, and the County Fair office at the Summit County Courthouse in Coalville through the end of July. After July 31st, artists can check-in work at the Ledges Event Center at the County Fairgrounds on Tuesday, August 8 from 4-7pm.
