Pop In For A Pop Up Performance at the Kamas Valley Library June 30th
Summer is the perfect time for a pop up performance and we’re hosting just that! Join us in partnership with Utah Opera, Utah Symphony and the Deer Valley Music Festival for a special pop-up concert at the Kamas Valley Library this Friday, June 30th!
Head over to the Kamas Valley Library at 5pm & enjoy a live performance from the Jupiter Trio. The trio is comprised of Lynn Maxine Rosen on the violin, Louis Philippe Robillard on the cello, and Alex Marshall on the piano.
About the performers:
Lynn Maxine Rosen
Lynn Maxine Rosen began studies privately in Los Angeles, California with the prominent studio musician Joachim Chassman, and then went on to earn a Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance with Honors at Indiana University. Most recently Ms. Rosen coordinated the 2004 International Conference of Symphony and Opera Musicians (ICSOM) held in Salt Lake City, Utah, and which was hosted by AFM Local 104 and the Utah Symphony Musicians. Subsequently she was elected to the Governing Board as a Member–At-Large. She has varied interests: skiing, tennis, hiking, cooking, and teaching the violin.Ms. Rosen plays on an Italian violin made in 1830 and a Michael Scoggins viola made in 1995. She currently chairs the Kol Ami Concert Series in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Louis Philippe Robillard
Born in Montreal, Canada, cellist Louis-Philippe Robillard first came to the United States in 2003 with a performance scholarship to study with Timothy Eddy at the Mannes College of Music in New York City. Graduated with the highest honors and awarded the Prix de conservatoire from Montreal Conservatory, Mr. Robillard has previously studied with Carole Sirois and Dorothy Bégin, and has worked with Mstislav Rostropovich, Lynn Harrell, David Soyer, Desmond Hoebig, Hans Jorgen Jensen, and Philippe Muller in masterclasses and private lessons. Louis-Philippe Robillard has been a member of the New World Symphony and the Fort Worth Symphony before joining the Utah Symphony in 2016.
More commonly known as Louis in the United States, Louis-Philippe enjoys spending his spare time hiking, swimming, cooking and drinking too much coffee.
Alex Marshall
Alex Marshall is a versatile scholar having completed two degrees from the University of Utah – a B.M. in Piano Performance and a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering. Hailed by the press as a musician “you have to see…perform to completely understand what a rare talent he is” and “who deserves praise for his talent and ability,” Alex can be found throughout Salt Lake as an active member of the professional musical community performing in classical, rock, jazz, and musical theatre styles playing with the premier musical groups and institutions of Salt Lake City including the University of Utah and the Utah Symphony.
