Canyons Village Seeks Artist Submissions For Placemaking Project

Canyons Village Management Association (CVMA) seeks qualified designers, artists and/or sculptors to provide design concepts for an iconic placemaking element. The piece will be located at the intersection of Canyons Resort Drive and High Mountain Court in the Upper Village of Canyons Village at Park City Mountain resort area.

Interested applicants should provide up to five examples of previous projects and up to 5 sketches for the placemaking element based off the design and creative brief included in the RFP. Proposals should focus on incorporating a memorable element at a key arrival intersection. CVMA would like the piece to fit in line with their brand guidelines and create a “generational memory/tradition for guests”.

The selected designer should note they will be responsible for biddable documents and/or production drawings (if self executed) through to final installation supervision. The project budget is $75,000 including the artist stipend, supplies and materials.

Proposals are due June 26th, 2023. CVMA wishes to have this piece installed prior to the 2023 ski season and therefore be completed by October 31st, 2023.
