Latino Arts Festival 2018
Immerse yourself in creative and cultural offerings at the third Latino Arts Festival on Saturday and Sunday, June 16th and 17th from 3-8pm. This year, the event will be held outside at the Park City Library Field (1255 Park Ave.).
Showcasing the talents of the local Latino community, this free, all-ages event celebrates creative expression through fine arts and crafts, folkloric dance, live music, performances, food, and a Sundance film.
Hadley Dynak, Executive Director of the Park City Summit County Arts Council shares, “It’s a fun, colorful, and interactive way to bring our community together and experience the traditions and heritage of our Latino culture."
The event lineup is as follows:
Saturday, June 16
- 3:00 PM: ‘Doors’ Open – Food, Art Booths and Kids Activities available all day until 8:00 PM.
- 3:00 PM – 4:00 PM: Band Los Chasquis – Folklore Music from the Andes Mountains.
- 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM: Danzas de Chile; Traditional Folklore de Chile.
- 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM: Las Americas; Folklore Dance from Mexico, Spain and Argentina.
- 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM: Sabor Tropical; Tropical Caribbean Music.
- 8:00 PM – Sundance Film, Dolores (Saturday Only, Free Admission).
Sunday, June 17
- 3:00 PM: ‘Doors’ Open – Food, Art Booths and Kids Activities available all day until 8:00 PM.
- 3:00 PM – 4:00 PM: Peruvian Band Los Chasquis – Music from the Andes.
- 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM: Viva el Folklore – Folklore dance from Perú, Dominican Republic, and Mexico.
- 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM: Sabor Tropical; Tropical Caribbean Music.
- 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM: Mariachi Band – Traditional Mexican Music.
The event organizers strongly encourage visitors to use public transportation.
The event is produced by the Christian Center of Park City in partnership with the Park City Summit County Arts Council, the Park City Chamber of Commerce, the Sundance Institute, Kimball Art Center, Zions Bank, Telemundo, Mountain Life Church, 104.7FM, Molina Healthcare, The Law Office of Laja K. Thompson, and Park City Municipal.
