Story Time Art for Tots Inspires Budding Artists
The Kimball Art Center’s mission is to inspire and connect through art.
Each Thursday afternoon, the Kimball Art Center fills with little artists eager to express their creativity. Story Time Art for Tots was started by the Kimball’s Education Team to ensure everyone, no matter what age, has the opportunity to do something creative in their week - and for free!
Story Time also provided a platform for the KAC to utilize our wonderful community members as volunteers to read the stories and share their love of learning. Many of our weekly volunteers are former elementary school teachers and art teachers who have a wealth of knowledge and experience.
In our first season of Story Time, we had almost 200 budding creatives participate, along with their parents. Snuggled up in colorful bean bag chairs, the tots listen to a story and afterward they get to paint, draw, glue and more. We even bring out the glitter some weeks!
We encourage everyone to take advantage of this free creative opportunity - our doors are open! Bring your little one to join in on the fun every Thursday afternoon from 3:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. You can find more information on the Kimball Art Center’s website, www.kimballartcenter.org!
