Spring into action this May and join artist Sasha Primo for an Art Talk, Community Workshops and Paint Days to help bring the Hoytsville Historical Mural to life! The Summit County Public Art Advisory Board, with support from the Arts Council will produce a historical mural to be installed at the Summit County Public Works Building in Hoytsville. This project was conceived in response to a request from Hoytsville residents for a public artwork that honors the unique history, landscape, and spirit of the region.

Read MoreThe Kimball Arts center is holding an event called “Noon Year’s Eve” in which it allows for parents to celebrate the new year with their children at an appropriate time besides midnight. Kimball Arts states, “Celebrate the New Year at a kid-appropriate time with wishes for 2020, art projects, an apple cider toast, and countdown to the 12pm balloon drop. $25 per child, adults are free.” This is a fantastic way to celebrate the new year with children, while the adults celebrate the holiday at midnight.

The Kimball Arts Center has already prepared several special classes to help celebrate the coming of the holiday season. Some of these classes include Winter watercolor, custom cards, wrap it up, sweets for Santa, glass fusion, ugly sweaters, gingerbread houses, unique ornaments in glass, and tabletop trees in glass.

3 years into the store’s opening, McClearly wanted to do more to offer unique experiences for her customers. She came up with the idea to host a demonstration cooking class called Next Course.
