Local Artists Given Opportunity to Shine
Summit Arts Showcase 2022 sends out official call for artists
The Arts Council | Park City & Summit County announces the return of the Summit Arts Showcase, set to take place July 15 & 16, 2022 at the Red Barn in Oakley, UT.
The Arts Council is now accepting applications from local artists for this annual juried art show. Artwork can range from contemporary to traditional, and include a variety of mediums from acrylic to watercolor to photography, ceramics, fiber arts, and jewelry.
Set against the Uinta mountain range, the Oakley Red Barn is a gorgeous setting to exhibit local talent and for art enthusiasts to engage with a number of the area’s talented creatives and grow their collections.
Local arts and culture events connect the community, and the Arts Council is proud to continue this tradition and offer the 12th Annual Summit Arts Showcase.
The event is scheduled for Friday, July 15 from 4-8pm and Saturday, July 16 from 10am-5pm. Both days will be filled with artistic entertainment, including musical performances from Mountain Town Music and live art demonstrations in addition to the art showcase sale. The event will also feature two food trucks, Yoli’s Tacos and Unami Pizza.
The deadline to apply for the Summit Arts Showcase is Wednesday, June 15 by 5PM. Artists working in any visual art medium are encouraged to apply. Space is limited, and preference will be given to Summit County residents. To apply, artists are required to fill out an artist application and send three images (.jpg or .png) of their artwork to admin@pcscarts.org by the deadline.
Artists will be selected by a jury of local artists and art enthusiasts from Summit County. All applicants will be notified about the status of their application by Tuesday, June 28. If selected, the registration fee to participate in the two day event is $80.
