YouTheater Summer 2021
Egyptian YouTheatre has announced a full slate of summer programs for kids and teens. Beginning in June, campers can choose from a wide variety of creative camps.
Campers can learn the fundamental skills every actor needs to have in their tool box in ACT OUT.
At FILM CAMP participants will create a film with phones, cameras, and all the elements of a modern film set.
Latinx theatre makers and writers will lead BILINGUAL THEATRE (Spanish/English) so participants can explore the creative arts, including acting, hip-hop, martial arts and storytelling.
ACT UP ADVENTURE; PIRATES & MERMAIDS will inspire creative play, story improv, dance & movement, and daily crafts.
IMPROVE PUPPETRY TROUPE will instruct campers in the crafting, voice, and character-development of a unique puppet.
Radio dramas will come to life during I PODCAST RADIO DRAMA. Campers will learn the spectrum of skills need to produce a final product; including character and sound effects creation, voice acting and recording and editing.
In STORY TO STAGE campers will jump into a book and help the story come to life on the stage.
Campers will learn lines, create characters, rehearse, make props, costumes and set pieces and end up with a complete performance at the end of PRODUCTION CAMP; SILLY SHAKESPEARE.
Teen Film Camp takes teens from concept to creative and production to premiere.
Science and theatre specialists in FULL STEAM AHEAD will explore the ocean and the secrets it holds through acting, voice, movement, improv, music, and science!
MUSICAL THEATRE REVIEW will use songs from the wonderful world of musical theatre to inspire a music and choreography production.
And that’s just the line up for June! Programs continue through early August.
Class sizes are limited and space is available on a first-come first-paid basis. Full payment is required to secure your space. Scholarships are available.
Summer camps will be closely following all directives coming from the CDC, Summit County Health Dept, and the American Camp Association (ACA,).
