ART AT THE LIBRARY

The Park City Library hosts rotating art exhibitions throughout its first and second floors. The library believes that both the written word and artistic expression are valuable to the community. These exhibitions give great exposure to local artists and provide a unique cultural experience for community members and visitors. Some of the pieces are even for sale!

Located at 1255 Park Ave. Open from 10am-9pm Monday-Thursday, 10am-6pm Friday and Saturday and 1pm-5pm on Sundays.

Red Flower Studios hand made glassware

GO FOR GLASS

At Red Flower Studios, you work with an experienced artisan to design and create a piece of handmade glass. With their help, you’ll color and shape a piece of molten glass into a unique piece of art. Learn a new skill and create something beautiful!

Located at 1755 Bonanza Dr., Unit C. Open from 2-8pm Wednesday-Saturday.

ART STROLL

There’s no better way to cap off a summer evening than by enjoying art and a beautiful mountain walk through charming downtown Park City. On the last Friday of every month, dozens of art galleries open their doors for a Gallery Stroll. Join fellow art-lovers in meandering down Historic Main Street to check out the newest installations from local, national, and international artists.

The Last Friday Gallery Stroll is from 6-9pm. Check out this map to see the locations of participating galleries.

Franz the Bear

AN ARTISTIC RIDE

Summit Bike Share is a great way to explore public sculpture around town. The rental e-bikes have an electric pedal assist which can give you an extra boost while visiting the various public sculpture installations around Park City. Don’t miss the Miner sculpture, located at 405 Main Street in Miner’s Park. Or, Franz the Bear who is a local icon. You can find this fellow on a bench at 560 Main Street.

Days of Art

At the Park City Kimball Arts Festival, you can experience art, cuisine, and live music on Historic Main Street in a high-energy, multi-sensory fundraiser for a local art center. It’s three days of art, activities, and creativity – all for a great cause.

Monster Drawing Rally

OH, RALLY?

The Monster Drawing Rally is a unique drawing event that’s part live entertainment, part exhibit. Local artists take 50-minute shifts drawing and making art as spectators enjoy seeing the creative process firsthand. The finished pieces -- drawings, mixed media, watercolor, acrylic and more -- are immediately available for purchase, so it’s a great way to support local art and take home a memento from a one-of-a-kind event.

Latino Arts Festival

VIVE EL ARTE!

The Latino culture is a big and lively part of life in Park City. About 25 percent of residents are from Latin America, and every year the Latino Arts Festival celebrates their heritage, diversity, and traditions. Enjoy art displays, dance performances, cultural music, craft demonstrations, and of course, delicious Latino food.

The free event is open to the public and held at various locations around Park City.

PC Sunday Silly Market

GET SILLY

Park Silly Sunday Market turns Main Street into a giant street festival and open-air market with live music, performers, artwork, and food vendors. Local makers create art on the spot and have their art available for sale. Browse everything from ceramics to original prints. Park Silly is family-friendly – so grab the whole gang and head to Main Street.

Park Silly Sunday Market is every Sunday.

Kranstover - Olypmpic torch

SCULPTURE CHASE

William J. Kranstover is a local artist and art teacher. He has various sculptures dotted across Summit County and the abstract works are fun to chase down as you explore the area. One of his more well-known pieces is the Olympic Torch sculpture, a commissioned metalwork to commemorate the 2002 Salt Lake City Olympics.

Some of his pieces can be found on Kearns Blvd., at the bottom of Main Street, along the Historic Rail Trail, and at Temple Har Shalom. Visit his studio in Peoa to see some of his paintings and works in progress.
