Whether you’re an experienced craftsperson on the Martha Stewart level, or simply one who appreciates the handiwork of those who create beauty, here are some ideas for a day filled with creative endeavors in the Park City/Summit County community.

 
 

KIDDIE CRAFTS

  • Park City Library hosts Crafternoons 2 Go, where kids of all ages can tap into their creative side. Past projects include puppets, sand art, and tracing projects.

Located at 1255 Park Ave. Crafternoons 2 Go offers curbside service to pick up craft kits. Then just follow along with the How-To video on Facebook and Instagram.

THE ART OF RETAIL

  • Olive & Tweed supports many artisans by selling their handcrafted products. There’s something for everyone – from clothing and jewelry to home décor and craft items.

    Located at 608 Main St. from 10am-7pm Monday-Thursday and 10am-9pm Friday-Sunday.

  • The Collective is another local favorite boutique that supports women designers and small business owners. Offering clothing and accessories to home goods and gifts.

Located at 675 Main St. from 11am-6pm Sunday-Thursday and 11am-7pm Friday and Saturday.

  • Indigo Highway is a modern lifestyle mercantile with a with curated collection of apparel, jewelry and apothecary brands who treat the plant right.

Located at 1241 Center Dr. #L170 from 10am-6pm Monday-Saturday and 12-6pm on Sundays.

  • Motherlode thinks the local apparel should reflect the town’s unique personality. The shop features custom apparel with mountain graphics, funny sayings, and homages to local passions like dogs and skiing.

Located at 1890 Bonanza Dr. #107 from 10:30am-7pm Monday-Saturday.

AN EASTSIDE LOOP

  • Artique sells handmade goods by local Summit County artists. Find works of ceramic, fiber art, glass, clothing, jewelry, painting, photography, and more. It’s a co-op, and on your visit, you might even meet one of the featured local artists taking a turn working in the gallery.

Located at 283 N. Main St. in Kamas, Utah from 11am-6pm Thursday-Sunday.

  • William (Bill) Kranstover’s Gallery in Peoa showcases colorful, imaginative works that reflect Park City and the surrounding area. Affectionately known as “Kranny,” he has received numerous awards for his paintings and sculptures. He and his daughter collaborated and designed the "Light the Fire Within" for the 2002 Winter Games. This metal torch sculpture is on permanent display at the corner of Kearns Blvd. and Bonanza Dr.

Chisel and Stone Workshop

GET CHISELED

The Chisel and Stone Workshop is a Park City stone carving experience anyone can enjoy. You’ll learn how to shape local Utah alabaster into a unique keepsake you made on your own. You can book a lesson wherever you would like. Carving lessons outside – could it get more poetic?

Flowers By You

FLOWER POWER

Flowers by You is a floral and terrarium bar. You can get great floral arrangements and learn to create those beauties yourself. Offering classes on floral arranging, DIY terrarium building and even creating floral jewelry, this a popular experience for groups or families.

Call ahead at (435) 640-8968 to schedule your class or order an arrangement or drop by the shop to browse from 11am to 6pm Monday-Saturday. Located at 6300 Sagewood Dr., Suite C.
