BRANDed PC Singer/Songwriter Series Brings Four Local Acts to Park City

BRANDed PC had it’s opening night on Main Street last night, and has been an amazing success! Thanks to local makers, we have a great spread of exciting and high quality merchandise— there’s truly something for everyone, making it the perfect place to buy unique last minute holiday gifts for anyone.

New this year to BRANDed PC is a singer/songwriter series featuring four local bands: The Backyard Revival, Carlos Emjay, Alicia Stockman, and Katya & Moodlite. The bands will play live Wedesday Dec. 18- Saturday Dec. from 6-7 pm. Each band gives their own unique taste of the music scene in Park City.

Oakley Cattle Drive: A Western Tradition

What makes the American west the “West” as the world knows it? Is it the great stretches of blue skies, sweeping and diverse landscapes, or the history of cowboys and native americans? I think it’s a combination of all of those things. There is plenty of space for both new and old traditions. One tradition that is undeniably a truly “western” experience is a cattle drive, a unique part of our heritage and history in Utah. Summit County is lucky to be the home of traditional cattle drives for working ranches. I had the chance to join the Leavitt family for their annual cattle drive, and it was an adventure not to be forgotten!

Summer Preview // Outdoor Markets Opening in June

Mark Twain once said “nothing helps scenery like bacon and eggs.” As a bit of a food enthusiast myself, I’d have to say that I agree with Mr. Twain on this, however I might swap the bacon for fresh locally grown sweet corn, and warm fresh-baked artisan bread. Lucky for us, the outdoor markets throughout Park City make it possible to have it all! You can have your “bacon and eggs” while enjoying a view like none other.

Park City High School Theater on the Rise

Park City is known for it’s many world class opportunities it has to offer. It’s evident by the diverse array of languages one can hear while walking down Main Street that people come from all corners of the world to get a taste of our small mountain town. Many people associate Park City with beautiful mountains, cozy lodges, an amazing variety of outdoor recreation throughout all four seasons, and great art galleries. In addition to all of that, Rick Kimball, the Director of the Park City High School Theater Program, has been working to put Park City on the map for something else.
