Literary Art Proposals Take the Lead in Park City Social Equity Innovation Challenge
Park City Council hosted a Social Equity Innovation Challenge during their retreat in March. The challenge invited city staffers to come up with innovative ideas for a social equity project that is not currently funded. $50,000 was budgeted to fund the top ideas that will fill a need in the community. There were 13 total proposals submitted to the challenge.
The two winning ideas were presented by Katrina Kmak, Youth & Spanish Services Librarian at the Park City Library. Both proposals focused on literary arts and the latino community.

America's Road: The Journey of Route 66

Sharing Park City's History: Diane Knispel
Diane Knispel, Director of Education at Park City Museum came to us from New Jersey where she worked at the Hermitage National Landmark and Historic House Museum. The Way We Worked: Park City Museum Exhibits Work Force History
Park City Museum is the last stop for the touring exhibit entitled The Way We Worked, created by The Smithsonian Institute and National Archives and presented by Utah Humanities. Jamie Wilcox has seen tremendous growth in her 6 years as director of The Egyptian Youtheatre program. The program offers from 15-18 weekly classes each fall and spring session and 20 summer camps for ages 5-18 and 2 outreach projects each summer for students age 5 and up.

SPIRITED: Prohibition in America, is the temporary exhibit at Park City Museum appropriately located in the Saloon. Donna Kozlowski, Park City Chamber staffer assigned to the museum says, “This is one of the best exhibits we've ever had. It's so much more than just prohibition, it’s about the whole era.” Videos, photos, fashion, memorabilia and storyboards illustrate life in the USA during that era and the concerns which led up to the enactment of the 18th amendment.Be sure to visit before it closes on May 25.
