PCSC Arts Council to Host Project ABC Community Convening on Rural Arts Development and Arts Resources
The Park City Summit County Arts Council will hold its second Project ABC Community Convening on Friday, February 22 from 9am - noon at the Kamas Library. The first was held in November and focused on Spaces and Funding. The idea of ‘Community Conveings’ emerged from the cultural planning process as a Strategic Recommendation. Each of our Community Convenings focus on specific Collective Priorities that were identified in the Cultural Plan, and are opportunities to learn from others and to discuss the role of arts and culture in Summit County as well as network with the arts and culture community.

Park City Local Nan Chalat Noaker Pursues Creative Passion: Stop-Motion Animation
Nan Chalat Noaker worked for a magazine publishing company in Boston before moving to Park City in 1977 and continued her career in media as a news reporter for KPCW for 5 years and for The Park Record for 35 years; 21 of them as the Editor. Stepping down from her position in October 2017, Nan found time to pursue the rather unique passion of stop-motion animation.

An unexpected find tucked away in her parents' closet was the first step of Bonnie Park's journey to becoming a memoirist and author. Her parents passed away shortly after celebrating 70 years of marriage. In April of 2012, while cleaning out their apartment, a box surfaced, filled with correspondence and the details of their courtship over distance and time.

2019 World Championships // Music Lineup Feb 1-10
The 2019 FIS Snowboard, Freestyle and Freeski World Championships just released a stacked music lineup for the event coming up February 1 - 10 — and we’re excited to say the least. 2019 World Champs athletic events will take place at Utah’s Solitude Mountain Resort, Park City Mountain and Deer Valley Resort, but the the performances will be in our backyard February 2, 5, and 10 on the Canyons Village Stage and Historic Main Street.

New this year to BRANDed PC is a singer/songwriter series featuring four local bands: The Backyard Revival, Carlos Emjay, Alicia Stockman, and Katya & Moodlite. The bands will play live Wedesday Dec. 18- Saturday Dec. from 6-7 pm. Each band gives their own unique taste of the music scene in Park City.
