Read MoreAfter much thought and consideration, the Arts Council has decided to postpone the 2020 Summit Arts Showcase until Fall 2020 (exact date TBD), due to the current rise of COVID-19. The event was scheduled for Saturday, July 18 from 11-7pm and had planned to follow all yellow phase health guidelines set by the State of Utah and the Summit County Health Department. While postponing this annual event was a difficult decision to make, the Arts Council board and staff feel it's the right one as we all try our best to slow the spread of the virus and prioritize the health of our community.

After Covid19 closures, Create PC will launch a reopening in June on Thursday-Sunday evenings from 12pm-6pm with its outdoor market. Most importantly, Create PC will adhere to social distancing guidelines and make use of the patio spaces and open layout to feature local artists. Create PC allows for a shared space where featured artists will both create and sell their art!

Read MoreOur historic Egyptian Theatre has been dark since they turned off the spotlights and locked the doors. “We were the first to shut down,” says Theatre Manager/Director Randy Barton. “ We had three sold out nights for the band “Moe” and fans were flying in from everywhere to see them. We made the hard decision to close on 3/12. This was voluntary – not by order.” Like many businesses and nonprofits they've had to think outside the box to invent a new way to be 'Covid Cool' and keep guests safely entertained.
