The Latino Arts Festival, an event co-hosted by the Christian Center of Park City (CCPC) and the Park City Summit County Arts Council, highlights the arts and crafts, cuisine, music, and folkloric dance of latino cultures from around the world.
Read MoreEgyptian Theatre YouTheatre was established in 1995 and has enriched children’s lives through various programs. Today, YouTheatre has 31 kids appearing on stage and four backstage tech crew students. This program has taught over a thousand aspiring actors - some who have gone on to study acting in college or pursue careers in the theatrical arts. Some of their students have even performed on Broadway.

Within minutes of the assembly starting, the kids are in hysterics and practicing their vocal range. “Who Wants to be an OPERA STAR?” has began and the kids are loving it. For these elementary school students, this is an introduction to the art form of opera through the framework of a television game show.

The film is about the heartbreaking and inspiring experience of survival and recovery in a family coping with addiction over many years. Based on memoirs “Beautiful Boy: A Father's Journey Through His Son's Addiction” by father David Sheff and “Tweak: Growing Up on Methamphetamines” by son Nic Sheff, the film examines the son’s addiction to meth and the father’s response to his son’s struggles.

This exhibit will showcase resilience - finding balance in the midst of chaos - through the medium of art. University of Utah’s Dr. Scott Langenecker will be at the event to share how resilience can be learned, cultivated and strengthened. The event will also include an area for adults and children to create art. This special exhibit will be held at the Community Room in the Park City Library on May 22nd from 6:30 - 8:30pm.

Read MorePark City Municipal Corporation (PCMC) is currently requesting proposals for public art for a pedestrian and bicycle tunnel known as the Old Town Transit Center connector. Proposals will be accepted until 5 p.m. on Friday, March 10. “This is one of the final tunnels in City limits to be commissioned for public art,” states Jenny Diersen, PCMC Economic Development and Special Events Program Manager and staff to the Public Art Advisory Board. “We are excited to see what artists propose for the space, and to see this tunnel completed as it provides connectivity between Poison Creek Trail, Deer Valley Drive and the Old Town Transit Center.”
