Local photographer Tom Horton picked up that passion during a summer job at Grand Teton National Park in 1968 while a biology student at the U of U. “I discovered I was good at photography, so when I returned to the U I got into photography with the yearbook and newspaper, and added a journalism major.”
Read MoreLocal author, Amy Roberts began her career as a journalist working in TV news and transitioned into writing features and travel articles for magazines. “The economy crashed in ’08 taking the print media industry down with it. I had to get a ‘big girl’ job and began working on the opposite side of the business in PR and communications.” Today, in addition to her magazine articles and a weekly newspaper column, she is the Senior Director of Marketing and Communications for the Kimball Art Center.

The annual summer event brings a full week of food, fun, exhibits, demonstrations, contests, and rides. In addition to the demolition derby, the livestock showings, the 4H displays, parade, pie baking contest, and the little buckeroo rodeo, the Fair hosts the Fine Arts Exhibit which gives local artists the opportunity to share their artwork with the public.

The film is an inspiring look at her life, covering her marriage, her health, her family and, of course, her astonishing legal career. To further discuss this legacy, we're hosting a panel after Sunday's screening moderated by KPCW's Leslie Thatcher, with women who have equally incredible stories. We wanted this panel to represent different points of Justice Ginsburg's career, so we have an ACLU attorney, a law school professor, and a Utah Supreme Court Justice.
